i need to just vent and yell into the void for a bit. because there’s nothing else i could do. literally nothing else. i just feel like crying. my only controller, after like two years got a fucking stick drift. even when im not pushing the analog and the motherfucker is registering an upwards push... its so fuckin over. i literally cannot afford to replace it...
a new official one is between 8000 and 9000 serbian dinars depending on the store, and unofficial ones certified to work with an xbox series console are, when available, which they often aren’t, around 5000 or 6000 dinars! and if we take online shopping route, for an example an 8bitdo which is like €30 on the official website... for me to get it to my home i’d probably need to pay at least double due to shipping and VAT fees lol and whatever commission a person getting it for me charges, because, like we are some bumfuck of nowhere, 8bitdo does not ship to serbia lol. so a “cheap” officially licenced 3rd party controller is no longer so cheap, huh. its either that or paying €40 on a gray market lol, which is a gamble within itself.
€1 is about 116.5 RSD. i can’t even afford the unofficial but licenced ones, let alone the first party ones. its far too expensive for what i can afford.
i don’t understand why shit breaks when you have the least money? i mean, it mostly works for now, but it drifts every now and then. for now it’s not constant, but it still isn’t ideal. how convenient! my console’s warranty expired on august the first, and the controller started having issues on 14th of september! how nice of you, microsoft, or shall i say microshit!! how lovely!!! im so happy my shit broke when i can’t afford to replace it!!!!!!! and before anyone asks why do i have to get first party controller, or licensed unofficial one, instead of cheap dupe. its because microsoft is a paranoid whore, thinking people will cheat or some shit, even though this is a minority of people, so unlike with 360, on series s console you cannot simply connect any cheapo xinput controller. unless it has some sort of special chip inside, the console wont fuck with the controller to put it bluntly.
im just so fuckin sad because the console is the only way i can play games, for the most part. my pc is quite shit for gaming. its ok for other stuff though but yeah. i just hate how broke i am, replacing a fucking controller shouldn’t be such a big deal, everyone and their mother knows controllers have wear-and-tear components. and they physically can’t last forever. simply because of how the potenciometers work. analog sticks wear. i just didn’t expect it to be now... but like not being able to afford to replace a €70 thing is simply pathetic. i don’t want anyone to pity me, not do i want anyone to offer to buy my a new one.. im just simply... sad
i just feel like life is unfair. why did it have to break. why me? i don’t have a lot of personal money to do whatever. i live at home and my family still provides the necessities for me. a fucking controller is not a necessity... i just don’t understand why are controllers so fucking expensive all out of a sudden! almost 70 euros for an official one is beyond insane.
don’t get me wrong, we’re not poor. but please put this into perspective: since we’re not from a big city we pay €130 for rent, before bills. and if controller is €70... yeah hard to justify lol. and this is €130 for a whole apartment lol. two rooms, kitchen, bathroom. you were probably expecting a single room but nope. and yeah i could probably ask for those €70 anyway. but knowing its a huge portion of the rent cost, i would feel bad doing so...
